We Will Worship is an authentically South African worship and arts movement that is all about inspiring young Africans to believe in a glorious Africa and contend for it by using their gifts and talents for the glory of God and the blessing of the people.
Back in 2006 a team led by Langa Mbonambi gathered together worship leaders, poets and dancers from the His People Campus Ministries around the city of Johannesburg and hosted a concert to celebrate the awesome things that Jesus was doing on the university campuses in the city. What made this concert significant was that all the material featured was original and reflective of the diverse worship of the youth in the city. It was through this pursuit of an authentically South African youth worship experience that We Will Worship was born.
We Will Worship is now an arts foundation(NPO) that serves to foster a culture of creativity and steward artistic talent in South Africans through mentorship and the creation of platforms for expression. The foundation seeks to celebrate our South African heritage through original music, dance, poetry, art and develop artists that represent the Kingdom in talent and character.
The We Will Worship Band, which is the sound of the movement, recorded their first album called “The moveMEANT begins” in August 2011. This debut album has received critical acclaim resulting in a 2011 Metro Award for best Gospel Album.
We Will Worship is a movement of people on the pulse of what God is doing in the nation. It’s a movement of a people that will worship God WITH EVERYTHING IN EVERYTHING.
